Billow
Collected and stripped communication wire, steel, gypsum
72 H x 31.5 W x 20 D in, 2020/21
In Billow, collected and sorted telecommunications wires are accumulated and woven into a large sedimentary form, where the combination of line and color creates the illusion of oscillation. Billow is a hollow, stacked form, with groupings of wires connected by their stripped ends. This technique allows the piece to appear as a single continuous set of lines, winding around to define the overall form.
