Echo (Sabin)
Collected and stripped ethernet cables on canvas, 48” x 86” x 1”, 2019
Echo (Sabin) is a monochromatic field composed of stripped, twisted ethernet wires that connects two planes of stretched canvas. The overall structure is built up line-by-line, resembling a woven cloth. The static field appears to shift slowly, with no discernible pattern, evoking the sensation of white noise or the pixelation of a computer screen. Between the two canvases, stripped copper ends are twisted together, forming a seam along the central axis.
