Collected and strippled telecommunications cables on canvas, each 15” x 7”, 2019-
Fragments From a Larger Whole is an ongoing series, begun in 2019, that currently consists of more than twenty textile samples crafted from stripped and sorted telecommunications wires. These wires are meticulously assembled to form patterns that draw inspiration from textile structures, signals, and waveforms. The colored markings on the wires shift in and out of alignment, generating textile-like transmissions where signals are interrupted by irregularities in the surface patterning of the wires.
