Horizon at Night (No. 2)

Collected and strippled telecommunications cables on canvas
48” x 36” x 1 1/2”

Horizon at Night (No. 2) is a large-scale wire piece based on source images of the night sky. Discarded telecommunications wires—once used to carry invisible information across vast distances—are meticulously collected and repurposed into a dense, intricate tapestry. The work is infused with irregular breaks and glitches, with individual wires carefully cut and spliced to mirror the patterns of these disruptions. The exposed copper cores at the wire ends catch and reflect light, creating a dynamic sense of motion within the work.
