Collected and stripped telecommunications wires on canvas
60” H x 43” W
In Illumination, discarded telecommunications wires—once used to carry invisible information across vast distances—are repurposed into an intricate tapestry inspired by the night sky. The composition incorporates glitches, rearrangements, and fragments of trees, creating a dual sense of grounding and disorientation. Irregular breaks and spliced wires mirror these disruptions, while rich purples and vivid oranges enhance the piece’s vibrancy. Exposed copper cores at the wire ends reflect light, amplifying a dynamic sense of motion within the work.
