Spatial Drawings comprises a series of large-scale sculptures made of interconnected, hand-bent hardwood planks. These twisted forms function as "drawings" in three-dimensional space, exploring the relationship between material, form, and process. The unexpected torsion of the wood and the treatment of the forms present viewers with contradictions—between material and form, and between the made and the act of making. The bends and contortions suggest the potential energies of the body, while the oscillating structures guide the viewer’s movement through space.
