Walled Garden is a mixed-media installation of hand-painted wallpaper panels, where orchestrated ensembles of individually drawn dashes fluctuate in vibrant, toxic color combinations—a distillation of the hum and blur of rapidly changing technological information. These panels are paired with hand-turned wood forms that provide a solid counterpart to the panels’ movement and oscillation. Together, the crafted forms and dynamic panels highlight the tension between the natural and artificial, slow and fast, open and restricted, as well as the carefully curated experiences of information we encounter in our digital landscapes.
